Denton County Republican Executive Committee Passes TEXIT Referendum Resolution

Last month, the Denton County RPT asked the TNM to write a resolution to establish their support of HB1359, or the TEXIT bill. It is an honor to be able to report that on April 15, 2021, the Denton County Republican Party CEC met, voted, and passed the TEXIT resolution.

The “Resolution in Support of HB1359” outlines the party’s reasoning for supporting this bill and the steps they are taking as an organization to support the bill and advance the cause. One of the reasons stated was “the federal bureaucracy is unaccountable, invasive, and operates outside the limitations imposed on it by the U.S. Constitution,” and that it “no longer represents the purposes for which the States formed the Union.” Other reasons noted the crippling regulations on economics, reckless borrowing and spending, and its basic theft of $103-$160 Billion of Texan taxpayers every year.

The Resolution also reiterates the Articles of the Texas Constitution that retain our rights “to alter, reform, or abolish” our government any time we think we need to. The RPT is in agreement and support of the passing of the TEXIT bill, which would place a referendum on the ballot for the people to vote to do just that, and for Texans to once again assert its independence.

The Denton County RPT has listed this bill as a PRIORITY and agrees to send strong messages to our Texas legislators to support the bill that would allow the voices of Texans to be heard on the matter. They have also resolved to send copies of the Resolution to all the legislators of Texas, including the governor and Lt. Governor, and to forward the Resolution to RPTs in other counties to use at will to pass the Resolution and to agree to devote time and resources toward the “development and execution of a campaign to inform Texas republican voters of the importance of this Proposition.”

The TNM is honored to be of assistance to the Denton County RPT as they work hard to support the integrity and values of Texans.

The Texas Nationalist Movement’s mission is “to secure and protect the political, cultural and economic independence of the nation of Texas and to restore and protect a constitutional Republic and the inherent rights of the people.”

The Republican Party of Texas’ mission is “committed to advancing limited government, lower taxes, less spending and individual liberty. Our specific goals are to grow the Republican Party by reaching new voters, advance the Platform, which is grounded in conservative principle, and to keep Texas prosperous and free.” They were founded on the core principles of limited government, unleashed free enterprise, personal liberty and strong national security.

It is easy to see why these two organizations have established a very natural relationship with each other, with shared values and missions to preserve the foundations Texas was built upon. Early Texans lived, loved, and died entirely by their own efforts without relying on the government to fulfill their needs. Just like modern Texans, early settlers believed in families, churches and neighbors, not in bureaucracy. That sense of self-respect and self-reliance is still the envy of the world.

With the current state of the federal government, it is even more imperative that the TNM and the RPT continue to work together to keep Texas free from the federal government’s overreach that is working hard to strip Texans of their freedoms and the State of Texas of its sovereignty.
