Eleven years ago, on October 13, 2012, the Texas Nationalist Movement (TNM) initiated a tradition of reverence, reflection, and commitment. Every second Saturday of each month, TNM members congregate to march somberly and lay a wreath at the chapel of the Alamo. This act serves as a heartfelt tribute to those valiant individuals who gave their lives in the pursuit of Texas independence.

Over these years, numerous members have participated in this monthly tribute, braving all conditions to ensure that the legacy of the Alamo defenders remains undiminished. Whether under the blazing Texas sun, amidst biting cold, during times of civil protest, or even through the challenges posed by the COVID lockdowns, our commitment has never wavered. Each march is not just an act of remembrance for the fallen but a salute to the enduring spirit of Texas and every TNM member who has walked this path over the last decade.

The Alamo Memorial March stands as a testament to our determination and the principles we uphold. It’s an embodiment of our respect for those who came before us and a clear statement of our continued dedication to the cause they believed in so deeply, a cause for which they were willing to make the ultimate sacrifice.

We not only honor the memories of the Alamo defenders but also recognize and commend each TNM member who has participated in these monthly marches. Their steadfast dedication, despite external challenges and circumstances, speaks volumes about their character and commitment to Texas.

As we mark the 11th anniversary of this significant tradition, we invite and encourage more Texans to join us in this solemn march. It’s more than a mere event—it’s a continuing pledge to uphold and promote the ideals of independence, resilience, and dedication that define the spirit of Texas.

In conclusion, this tradition is a tribute to our past, a reflection of our unwavering present, and a beacon for a future where Texas stands strong and independent. Let’s continue to march forward, remembering those who paved the way and forging a path for generations to come.
