Over the years, the Texas Nationalist Movement (TNM) has tirelessly championed the independence of Texas, passionate about voicing and fulfilling the desire of thousands of Texans. An underlying part of our campaign rests upon the commitment to democracy and the belief in letting the voices of the people decide the future for themselves. However, it appears there is a concerning battle gathering momentum behind the scenes within our very own political establishment in Texas.
Certain hardworking, dedicated Texans have increasingly been noticing that their individual voices and the collective voice of our people are being stifly quelled. It is with trepidation that we relay this message to our members, supporters, and the general public, shedding light on these unsettling actions and identifying a troubling trend in our political establishment. The mechanism of that establishment is working overtime to ensure that you do not exercise your right to vote on TEXIT, thereby withholding a fundamental right in a democracy – your voice, your vote.
What’s even more disconcerting is the means by which they’re implementing this policy. It’s no open forum discussion or open debate but concealed within the walls of the legislature by incumbents, whose actions speak louder than any campaign rhetoric about democracy and freedom.
These vested interests believe they know what is best for you, for us, and for our Texas. They presume to speak for you and would rather make decisions without you. But we firmly believe that is not how our democratic process should work. Nobody should be made to feel that their opinions and beliefs don’t matter.
The power to decide the future of Texas should rest in the hands of Texans, not in the hands of a selective few who hold the reigns of our political establishment. Texans ought to be able to voice their opinions and cast their votes on all matters, including and especially the matter of TEXIT.
In the upcoming days and months, we encourage you all to stay informed, be vigilant, and voice your concerns. More than ever, we need Texas citizens to rally, to foster a more inclusive and democratic society. The uphill task of restoring democracy back to the people has never been more pressing.
Together, we will make sure that every Texan’s voice is heard. Let us join hands in ensuring the spirit of true democracy lives on in Texas. Together we can, and together we will!
