TNM Statement on Joe Biden’s Remarks

Tonight, through his remarks, Joe Biden showed his priorities: Standing with the citizens of other countries before standing with Texans, and using our safety and sovereignty as a bargaining chip to do so. Biden and leading members of his party have made border funding contingent on funding the defense of citizens of Ukraine, Taiwan, and Israel – without nearly enough thought given to citizens of Texas, who are faced with an ever-worsening invasion from the southern border on a daily basis.

“The security of Texans is non-negotiable. More and more Texans are seeing where the federal government’s priorities lie, and they’re not with us”, said TNM President Daniel Miller. “We will continue to make our voices heard in support of the cause of Texas independence so that no Texan in the future will have to answer to a federal government that doesn’t stand with them.”
