TEXIT Petition Campaign Hits 50% Milestone Signatures, Expects To Exceed Petition Signature Requirements Before Deadline

The Texas Nationalist Movement has reached a massive milestone in their petition to put a referendum on the statewide primary ballot in March 2024 that will ask voters the question: Should the State of Texas reassert its status as an independent nation?

To place the question on the Republican Primary ballot, the campaign needs 97,709 valid signatures. The campaign has so far exceeded 50,000 signatures and is steadily increasing the velocity of signatures gathered every day. With just under 30 days left to collect the necessary signatures, the Texas Nationalist Movement is gathering an average of 2,500 signatures a day.

“The political establishment continues to underestimate us, but the people of Texas are very much on our side – they want a vote on TEXIT, and that’s exactly what is going to happen,” said TNM President Daniel Miller. “TEXIT is on track to be on the ballot in March, and the voters will finally have an opportunity to make their voices heard – it’s up to politicians, the media, and the establishment to listen.”

“The closer we get to the deadline, the quicker these signatures come in,” said Miller. “Our volunteers have been working overtime in the field to talk to as many voters as possible. We’ve found that Texans believe the federal government is deeply broken and that Texans are better off charting our own path of independence.”

The petition landing page is located at texitpetition.com. Here, voters can find more information about the campaign, its goals, and the petition process. The TEXIT Petition Campaign encourages all eligible voters to participate in this process and make their voices heard.

We encourage everyone who wants to see TEXIT on the ballot in March to donate to the campaign to make it happen. The average cost to gather one signature is $2. Your help is the only thing that will help us cross the finish line and get TEXIT on the ballot in March.

  1. Do the signatures that were collected previously, & I’m talking about prior to the last House session in 2022-23 still count towards this next upcoming House session this March in 2024, or are new updated signatures required for this new session? Because there are a lot of people in my community that already signed my TEXIT petition previously, and we don’t need to get in trouble with election auditors over having duplicated signatures. Every single one of those prior signatures should count towards the overall total for this new session, no matter what; because none of these voters have changed their minds, just because we are preparing to go into a new House session!!! This is a clarification that needs to be addressed, because I have people tell me all of the time, “Oh, I already signed your petition a couple of years ago already, why did we not see it on the ballot, as we know we all thought that we had obtained enough signatures to get this done for the prior session, but somehow we weren’t able to get it on the ballot.” People need to understand that this is a viable option, but without numerous LOCAL TV ads across this state promoting it, a lot of people agree that this is nothing more than a pipedream for MAGA extremists, and I’m pretty sure I fall well within that far right MAGA Extremist Category, because America’s pendulum does not appear to be wanting to swing back to the right, after seeing last night’s local & state election results showing the dems to have won the evening, AGAIN!!! Catch a clue folks!! This should fuel our fire, but it didn’t in 2020, and now again in 2023!!! My guess is; the dumming down of America’s Voting population overall, has gotten to a point of no return where their right to have an abortion past 15 weeks is more important to many voters than being responsible enough in the first place and have enough discipline, compassion, and the desire to work hard to better be able to put food on their family’s table and to be able to buy diapers for their newborns!!! Oh, wait, it must have slipped my mind, in that they don’t need to plan for any of that, as they already did away with their little accident/infant baby, and they want to label me a white male privileged Extremist!!!!! Who is really the extremist here in this case!!! Calling the Kettle Black has become the norm for the Dems and all of the RHINO Republicans here in TEXAS, that need to get a real LIFE and quit trying to control and live our lives for us!!! Thank God for Legislators like Kyle Biedermann, and Freedom Warriors like Daniel Miller, who I would have loved to have seen get the Lieutenant Governor’s spot, but that also goes back to needing more Local TV exposure. A small spot on NEWSMAX would probably all that would have been necessary to make that a reality. I watch NEWSMAX every evening during the week. That is the only news outlet TEXIT needs!! Advertise TEXIT on NEWSMAX, PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    • Chris, I agree that it would be wonderful if all the previous signatures continued to count towards the goal. Unfortunately, that is not the way the Texas Election Code works. The signatures have to all be collected in a continuous 180-day period. The current petition is from June 2023 to December 2023. If someone signed a prior petition (before June 2023), then they will need to sign again. That’s why this process is so frustrating and difficult! They can check their signature status by going to https://tnm.me/verifypetition/ or contacting someone on the national leadership team. I hope that helps!

      From the FAQ:
Question: I signed the previous petition. Do I need to sign again?
Answer: This is a legal petition under the Texas Election Code with very specific requirements. One of those requirements is that the petition must operate in a 180 day window. Therefore, each petition campaign starts back at 0 signatures. If you previously signed a petition, we definitely need your signature.
