Inside The SREC Resolutions Committee & TEXIT

In today’s episode, we break down the latest from the State Republican Executive Committee (SREC) and what happened with the most recent TEXIT resolution taken up by the committee this last weekend. We also discuss what’s revealed by TEXIT’s most outspoken opponents.

First, we explain the foundations and groundwork of the SREC to illustrate why you should care about their interim role in pushing legislative powers. Then, we take you through what this means for Texas and our petition campaign to put the TEXIT question on the March 2024 ballot.

There’s no doubt that the SREC’s recent actions are, yet again, indicative that we’ve got gatekeepers that want to stand between you and your right to vote on your future as a citizen of Texas.

Afterward, we provide the latest update on our good, or not-so-good, friend State Representative Jeff Leach. Lastly, we have a very exciting and phenomenal speaker announcement for the largest independence conference ever: TEXITCon!

Dr. Steve Turley will join us at the world’s largest gathering of top experts and influencers to discuss the future of TEXIT, self-determination, and politics. If you haven’t gotten your tickets yet, now is the time! Find out more by clicking here.

As mentioned on the podcast, Angelina County is the second county to pass a resolution calling on the SREC to put the TEXIT question on the ballot. Angelina County took it a step further and wanted it taken up by the entire SREC.

The Resolutions Committee within the SREC deliberated on the matter, but unfortunately, the resolution did not pass. This outcome was influenced by misleading remarks from Committeeman Ronaldo Garcia, who inaccurately claimed that TEXIT lacks genuine public support—despite the extensive voter outreach conducted by our thousands of volunteers. Additionally, the absence of two committee members who supported the resolution also contributed to its failure to pass.

This has set the stage – because I suspect that we’re going to see more of these resolutions come across between now and December 1st, meaning the SREC will be forced to tackle the TEXIT issue again.

So I encourage everyone, every single one of you out there, to make plans to be there. We have to show up and say, “I’m here because I want the SREC to put the Texas question on the ballot.”

Furthermore, If you know who your member of your SREC is, find them by clicking here and contacting them. It doesn’t matter if you’re Republican, Democrat, Libertarian, or Independent. We need all hands on deck to make our voices heard and push our independence plan forward.
