Facebook Suppresses Texit but Promotes Left Wing Sites

Facebook is somewhat notorious for manipulating its content and for picking “winners” and “losers” on nearly every controversial issue.  If you stand on the side they don’t like, your content gets shut down.  Inconsistencies and hypocrisy abound.

Facebook has for a long time been hostile to the Texit movement.  Our articles and posts show up less in our individual news feeds.  Even our “friends” don’t get consistent access to pro-Texit content posted by legitimate citizens with Facebook profiles.  If you sign up for a pro-Texit group like the Texian Partisan or Texas Nationalist Movement groups, you won’t get notifications of posts.

Today they took yet another turn further toward blatant censorship.  We have made the case often that the goal of the Texit movement is a peaceful separation from the US through a democratic process.  We aren’t advocating war, protests, or the like.  Voting?  Yeah, we’re for that.  Elected officials following the will of the people, or following their party platform?  Yeah, we’re for that.  Democracy?  Yep, we’re for that too.

What does Facebook do when we advocate for democracy?  They mark us as “spam” and as violating the “community guidelines.” Links to the TNM website, www.texitnow.org have been blocked.

Just for kicks, I tried to post a link to www.blacklivesmatter.com and it went through just fine.  www.splcenter.com is the website of the Southern Poverty Law Center, a left wing organization who “decides” which patriots are terrorists vs which activists support a woke agenda.  Facebook posts that link just fine.  How about the Animal Liberation Front, the self described “radical fringe of the animal rights movement?”  Facebook permits that link.

Facebook tolerates free speech from the left, but suppresses it from the right.  If you’re woke enough, maybe they’ll promote your material.  What if you just want self determination and democracy?  State pride or self sufficiency?  Well, those are outside the community standards.
