With a heavy heart, I share the news of David Thomas Roberts’ passing. Dave, a valued member of our Advisory Board, a passionate advocate for Texas independence, and a dear friend has left us too soon.

Dave’s impact on our movement can’t be overstated. His unwavering dedication and tireless efforts to champion Texas independence have left an enduring mark on all of us. We’ll sorely miss his vision, passion, and invaluable contributions.

Beyond our cause, Dave was a fierce protector of Texas history. He fought to preserve historical monuments, ensuring the legacy of those who fought for Texas’ freedom wouldn’t be forgotten. His work reminded us all of the importance of honoring our past.

As the founder of Defiance Press & Publishing, Dave created a platform for voices often overlooked by mainstream media. He took a chance on publishing the TEXIT book when others wouldn’t, believing strongly in our mission. Dave’s support for up-and-coming writers and his commitment to uncensored political discourse inspired many.

Dave’s role on our Advisory Board was crucial. His knowledge, insight, and determination guided us through challenging times. A true Texas patriot, his love for our state shone through in everything he did.

Personally, I’m devastated by the loss of my friend. Dave’s wisdom, loyalty, and friendship were a constant source of strength for me and many others in our movement. His spirit will live on in the work we continue to do.

Our hearts go out to Dave’s family and friends during this difficult time.

A public visitation will be held on Tuesday July 16th, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Woodlands Methodist Church at 2200 Lake Woodland Drive, in The Woodlands, Texas. The funeral service celebrating Dave’s life will be held on Wednesday, July 17th, at 11:00 am, also, at Woodlands Methodist Church. Pallbearers will include Travis Roberts, Tanner Roberts, Joe Byrd, Randy Councill, Thom Reeder, Raymond Turnbow, Jeff Morris, and Daniel Miller. Honorary pallbearers will be Jim Dalton, Gary Biehl, Leo Perez, Bart Barrow, and Mark Pruitt.
