The Texas Nationalist Movement has reached another major milestone in their petition to put a referendum on the statewide primary ballot in March 2024 that will ask voters the question: Should the State of Texas reassert its status as an independent nation?
To place the question on the Republican Primary ballot, the campaign needs 97,709 valid signatures. The campaign has now surpassed 65,139 signatures – two-thirds of the necessary goal. With an average of 2,000 signatures a day – the Texas Nationalist Movement is continuing to gain traction.
The organization hit this milestone after a wildly successful TEXITCon event this past weekend which was the largest gathering of pro-independence activists and scholars in North America.
“We are working day and night to make sure we continue to move the needle on an issue that matters for Texas. The closer we get to the deadline, the more rapidly we’re receiving signatures. It’s clear to us that Texans believe in the path of independence,” said TNM President Daniel Miller.
The TEXIT question is on track to be featured on the ballot this upcoming March, and if the petition hits its signature goal, the voters will have an opportunity to make their voices heard.
“We have been underestimated by the political establishment at every turn, but we have the support of the people who matter – Texans,” said Miller. “With our petition continuing to gain traction, it is clear that the people of Texas want a vote on TEXIT and we are committed to making it happen. Politicians, the media, and the establishment will finally be required to take notice.”
The petition landing page is located at texitpetition.com. Here, voters can find more information about the campaign, its goals, and the petition process. The TEXIT Petition Campaign encourages all eligible voters to participate in this process and make their voices heard.
We encourage everyone who wants to see TEXIT on the ballot in March to donate to the campaign to make it happen. The average cost to gather one signature is $2. Your help is the only thing that will help us cross the finish line and get TEXIT on the ballot in March.
