Panama’s Border Crackdown Highlights Texas Immigration Woes

Panama’s recent efforts to close the Darien Gap, a notorious migration route, stand as a stark reminder of the ongoing challenges Texas faces due to federal mismanagement of border security. Since July 2024, under the leadership of President Jose Raul Mulino, Panama has taken significant steps to curtail the mass migration flow through the Darien Gap. This route has seen an unprecedented influx, with a record 1.5 million migrants from 170 countries passing through from 2021 to mid-2024. The current administration’s hard stance against such uncontrolled migration reflects a critical gap in U.S. policy that directly impacts Texas.

The proposal to shut down the Darien Gap and reduce illegal immigration resonates deeply with the Texas Nationalist Movement’s (TNM) ethos. At the core of TNM’s mission lies the belief that Texas must regain control over its borders to ensure political sovereignty and protect its residents from federal overreach. The high volume of migrants crossing through the Darien Gap to reach the U.S. southern border has posed significant security risks, with increasing numbers unvetted for criminal ties or national security threats. This situation has only amplified the call for Texas to take charge of its own immigration policies.

Unfortunately, Panama’s efforts have met with limited U.S. support, a direct result of bureaucratic inadequacies and conditional aid from the Biden administration. The federal government’s reluctance to provide unconditional financial support and diplomatic muscle undermines these efforts, prolonging the crisis. As always, this federal lethargy takes a toll on Texas, exacerbating the strain on our local communities and resources. The ineffective federal policies have resulted in an ever-growing number of migrants entering through our borders, many of whom could not be adequately vetted before their arrival in the U.S.

The parallels between Panama’s struggle and Texas’s situation are evident. President Mulino’s moves to introduce systematic barriers and ramp up repatriation flights, although stymied by a lack of federal support, offer a blueprint for what Texas could achieve with similar autonomous control over its border policies. This scenario underscores a crucial point for TEXIT: without independence, Texas remains at the mercy of federal decisions that do not prioritize our security and well-being.

The time for Texas to reclaim its independence is now. The federal government’s failures in managing and supporting regional security underscore the necessity of Texas governing itself. TNM seeks to ensure a prosperous and secure future for all Texans by championing economic sovereignty, political independence, and cultural identity. To achieve these goals, we must pursue TEXIT, thereby empowering ourselves to make decisions that service our unique needs without the constraints of federal ineptitude.

Join the Texas Nationalist Movement today and advocate for a self-reliant Texas. Stand with us to reclaim our borders, our safety, and our future. Together, we can make Texas the independent republic it was always destined to be. Support TEXIT and make your voice heard for a free and sovereign Texas.
