We are thrilled to announce that David Monson, Local Coordinator in Tyler for the Texas Nationalist Movement (TNM), will be a featured speaker at TEXITCON 2023. Hosted by the Texas Nationalist Movement, TEXITCON serves as a platform for thought leaders and experts to discuss Texas independence, politics, and self-determination. The conference is scheduled for November 9-12 in Waco, Texas.

About David Monson

David Monson was born in Washington DC and raised in Virginia. His early exposure to the realities of communism came when his father was stationed in Munich, Germany, during the height of the Cold War. Living in a divided Germany, David witnessed firsthand the oppressive nature of communist regimes. At the age of 17, he joined the Army and served as a paratrooper in the Army Reserve and Virginia National Guard. Upon graduating from college, he received a Regular Army Commission and served on active duty as a field artillery officer, first in Germany and then at Ft Hood, Texas. David transitioned from active military service to the Texas National Guard in 1997 and embarked on a civilian career in IT. Although work took him away from Texas, he always longed to return. His inspiration to re-engage with Texas came in late 2020 when he watched an interview between Dr. Turley and Daniel Miller, President of the Texas Nationalist Movement (TNM). Reminded of the early days of the Texas secession movement in the 1990s, David knew he had to return and be part of this pivotal moment in Texas history. Retiring in 2023, David now serves as the Local Coordinator in Tyler and is fully committed to the TNM’s mission to “secure and protect the political, cultural, and economic independence of the nation of Texas and to restore and protect a constitutional Republic and the inherent rights of the people of Texas.”

Why You Should Attend

David Monson’s unique perspective, shaped by his military service and early exposure to the realities of communism, makes him a compelling speaker at TEXITCON 2023. His insights will enrich discussions on how to effectively mobilize local communities and safeguard constitutional rights in the quest for Texas independence.
