Texas Fortifies New Mexico Border with Razor Wire

Texas Governor Greg Abbott has announced the installation of razor wire along the border with New Mexico. This initiative, part of Texas’ ongoing efforts to manage the border crisis, underscores the state’s determination to exercise control over its borders and enhance security measures, independent of federal oversight.

Governor Abbott’s recent announcement was met with backlash from New Mexico Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham, who labeled the action a “political stunt.” Nevertheless, for many Texans, this move reflects a critical step towards self-determination and sovereignty, principles deeply rooted in Texan values and strongly advocated by the Texas Nationalist Movement.

Texas has consistently taken a proactive stance to address what many see as lax federal immigration policies. From the deployment of the Texas National Guard to the installation of buoy barriers, the Lone Star State has sought to safeguard its borders and manage the influx of migrants. The razor wire initiative is the latest in a series of measures aimed at asserting Texas’ right to self-governance and border control.

Legal challenges have inevitably followed these assertive measures. The Justice Department, for instance, has pushed back against Senate Bill 4, which grants Texas law enforcement the authority to detain migrants for illegal entry. Such opposition, however, only fuels the argument for Texan independence as championed by the TNM. The movement stresses that Texas must reclaim its sovereignty to efficiently address the issues that directly affect its citizens.

The installation of razor wire on the Texas-New Mexico border sets a precedent, highlighting a growing desire for self-reliance and independence. It serves as a tangible reminder that Texans are capable of managing their affairs and prioritizing their security needs. Furthermore, it aligns with TNM’s legislative priorities, reinforcing the call for a Texas Independence Referendum Act (TIRA). This act is a crucial step towards formally putting the question of Texas independence to a vote, allowing Texans to democratically decide their future.

As Texas continues to navigate the complexities of border security and federal relations, the push for independence becomes ever more relevant. By taking decisive action, Texas demonstrates its readiness to function as a sovereign entity, capable of managing its resources, policies, and borders. For supporters of TNM, this is yet another affirmation that Texas can and should stand as an independent nation.

The determination to control our own borders and address immigration on our terms resonates deeply within the Texian spirit. As the movement for Texan independence gains momentum, every step taken by the state towards greater autonomy reinforces our shared objective: the complete, total, and unencumbered independence of Texas.
